What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your eye doctor if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
Do I have to have my eyes examined by an eye doctor at LensCrafters to get a new pair of glasses?
We are happy to accept any current, valid prescription from a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist. You do not need to have an exam with an Independent Doctor at a LensCrafters location in order to purchase glasses. However, it is important to schedule an annual eye exam in order to ensure the health of your eyes.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. How do I know if my child needs glasses?
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. I had a very good experience at this LensCrafters with Diksha. The store has a great variety of frames, and it was very nice to be able to choose among so many different options. Diksha let me search at my own pace and promptly provided assistance when I needed. The prices were also much better than in other stores. I was a customer in the past and I am glad I came back. Hopefully everything will go well with my glasses and lenses.

Easy location to get to, being in the Eaton Centre. I always have a wonderful experience with both the eye exam and getting glasses. The process of getting glasses is quite easy with the technology they employ at the store. One thing I noticed was that it was a bit busy and at times there were only two associates. Perhaps it was because it was the noon hour, but it seemed they could have used one extra person. I didn’t mind waiting; but just an observation.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! Came 3 times on this location to fix my Rayban prescription eyeglass, there’s always no technician available on site.I came weekend they said come back for weekdays because technician only works Mon-Fri 11 am - 4 pm, I came during weekdays still nothing!. The staff I approached never apologize. I have fulltime job and it was difficult for me to come in this place. When doing sales they were very nice they even sold me insurance for this eyeglasses but for service no one will assist you!!! THEY ARE ONLY GOOD WHEN IT COMES TO SALES BUT THEY WILL IGNORE YOU FOR SERVICE which I ACTUALLY PAID FOR! If there is zero i will score this place for ZERO!!! I WILL NEVER COME BACK ON THIS LOCATION!!! 😡
