"Étude Dance Studio was founded since 2007. Our mission is to nurture the love and appreciation for ballet in everyone. We believe that anyone can learn and enjoy this beautiful form of art at any stage of their life - from aspiring young dancers to recreational adult dancers – everyone has different needs and abilities. With our specially tailored teaching methodology, we want our students to enjoy the art of ballet at their own individual pace.

it’s always nice to attend ms joni’s classes as she always give good corrections to everyone in class. her studio is safe and inclusive. she’s a very experienced teacher who has taught me when i first started years ago before i switched to do other dance genres. her studio is bright and clean, with some ‘special’ mirror at the back of the studio that allows you to see your reflection too when you turn around to work on the other side at the barre, hence helping to guide one’s ballet alignment. recommended studio! 🙂 give it a try! 🙂

Join the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus at Etude Dance Studio. Our programme offers a structured and progressive approach to classical ballet training for dancers of all ages.
graded classes
Pre-Primary
For ages 5 and up, classes will be scheduled once a week with no examinations.
Primary
Once a week for the first 6 months, progressing to twice weekly from the 7thmonth onwards to prepare for the examinations. Details will be provided in advance.

Intermediate Foundation & Intermediate

jazz
Unleash your inner star with our dynamic Jazz programme! Designed to cultivate individual style, agility, and musicality, our classes are perfect for dancers who love upbeat choreography and moving to their favorite songs. All movements and music are age-appropriate and tailored to each dancer’s level.
open classes
Tiny Dancers (Ages 3-4)
A fun-filled introduction to dance with imaginative scenarios, props, and foundational skills in ballet and jazz.
Junior Jazz Stars (Ages 5-8)
Dive deeper into technique and choreography, challenging students with complex combinations.
Jazz Stars (Ages 9-13)
Once a week for the first 6 months, progressing to twice weekly from the 7thmonth onwards to prepare for the examinations. Details will be provided in advance.
Senior Jazz Stars (Ages 14 & over)
Refine techniques and performance skills, emphasizing the artistry of dance.
Open Jazz (Ages 15 & over)
A safe space for adults of all backgrounds to explore jazz styles, from Broadway to commercial street jazz.

Discover the joy of ballet with our exclusive adult ballet syllabus, crafted by our experienced artistic director, Tan Joni. Designed specifically for mature students, our progressive syllabus introduces ballet vocabulary and technique in a fun and approachable manner.

Progressing Ballet Technique
Progressing Ballet Technique I focuses on core strength, technique, and flexibility through specialized exercises with bands and balls, It enhances stability, muscle memory, and flexibility for precise movements and injury prevention, PBT complements ballet training, improves body awareness, and aids in mastering ballet techniques. Suitable for dancers of all levels, it enhances technical skill and artistic expression in ballet.
