The Zone of Proximal Development is a concept from educational psychology introduced by Lev Vygotsky, a renowned developmental psychologist. It refers to the range between:

2. What a learner cannot do, even with assistance
3. The Zone of Proximal Development — what a learner can do with the right guidance and support
