Our Coaching Approach
Our approach to every student is simple yet significant. We teach with great patience and empathy.
We believe that to be able to respond to each learner’s positive and negative emotions, to communicate their understanding, a coach can then increase engagement, promote motivation, leading to fruitful results.
There is no single “one fits all” method and we understand every student is unique, with different physical attributes and levels of understanding instructions.
Every child requires a personalized lesson plan and training in order to bring out the best in them.
Types of Classes
Beginner
Swim foundations will build here. We will focus on breathing co-ordination, propelling with good body position and limbs movement.
This program will be suitable for beginners and students who has yet to be able to swim a recognised stroke unassisted for 25m.

This class is for learners who have graduated from our beginner class or are already competent on freestyle/ breaststroke/ treading water.

February 19, 2016- Eric has been the swim coach for my two daughters for the last years. He is incredibly patient with both girls and makes their lessons fun and engaging. Within just a few weeks of undertaking lessons with Eric my then 5 year old daughter was much more confident in swimming and able to swim several strokes. Both girls aged 10 and 7 are now strong swimmers and very confident in water and using multiple strokes. During the pandemic Eric has also been exceptional in providing updates to parents and keeping us motivated at a time when he himself is unable to teach. Something that I feel sets him apart as a coach. He is also flexible and has worked so hard to accommodate various schedule changes both ours and that if the pools, not a simple job. Thank you Eric!

He's now teaching my 4.5 to daugther, who took an immediate liking to him, and he is very good with her. Highly recommended swimming coach!

June 29, 2024 - Teacher Eric has taught my son since he was about 4, now my son is 7 - Eric is always patient and kind with kids, which is very admirable. I do not like coaches who yell or threaten, so Eric was perfect for us. My son was scared of water, but Eric’s kind and patient approach helped my son to feel so comfortable in the water that he often spends hours swimming (or floating lol). If you are looking for a patient, soft-spoken teacher, Eric is the one!!!

February 23, 2019Learning environment makes a lot of difference to a child's learning experience and this is something unique about Coach Eric. He never shouts or put his students down when giving instructions, in fact he speaks in a very encouraging & supportive tone. He is fun yet assertive at the same time so my kids not only improve in their swimming skills but they also look forward to every lesson not just to learn how to swim but to meet their coach too. Coach Eric also made sure that my kids were prepared and ready for their test and this has given my kids the confidence to go for the test in a relaxed manner.. My daughter was enjoying herself during the test, was relaxed and was happily smiling away n joking wif the other coaches too. (In fact my daughter just completed her gold level test at 8yo.) October 2, 2023Eric is an awesome swimming instructor! Eric is patient, fun to be around, and the kids seem to really enjoy his class. I think the Aqua Swim test that he helps to organize also really encourages kids to work hard to move up to the next level. After just one year in Eric's group swimming class, our daughter's swimming improved more than it had in 2 years of private lessons. I also really appreciate that he allows for frequent make-up lessons.

Over the past three years we have seen our sons confidence in water and swimming ability develop brilliantly. Always patient, calm and motivating, I have watched the classes over the years observing Eric’s technique, he teaches with kindness, yet is sufficiently firm with our very cheeky, strong willed boy. I have also been fortunate to benefit from Eric’s coaching, whilst training for my first triathlon. I had a session where Eric gave supportive feedback and guidance, which in turn improved my technique and form.
