The Store Group was established in 1968 and has grown to become one of the largest and oldest existing supermarket and department store chain in Malaysia. In 2001, it was officially recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records for this achievement.

With a network of 50 operating outlets spanning approximately 1 million square metres of retail space nationwide, The Store Group offers a comprehensive range of products, including; Fresh produce, food and beverages, electrical appliances, apparel, footwear and bags, household items, baby and children's products, cosmetics, and more.

Over the course of 57 years, The Store Group has significantly expanded its footprint and evolved into one of Malaysia’s leading retailers.

New History & Background

The first outlet of The Store Group, The Store Supermarket & Departmental Store, was opened in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, in 1968. On 27 September 1995, the Group expanded with the establishment of Pacific Hypermarket & Departmental Store, and later in May 2005, Milimewa Superstore became part of the Group.

In 2024, the Pacific outlets were upgraded and rebranded as Pacific Grocer & Department Store, reflecting a refreshed identity and an enhanced shopping experience. As of today, The Store Group operates 50 outlets across Malaysia.

The Group continues to grow and innovate to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian consumers.

The Store at present has 34 outlets across major cities in Malaysia, providing goods and services to shoppers of all income levels. The Store Supermarket & Departmental Store is divided into two departments: supermarket and departmental store. Supermarket offers a variety of products comprising fresh produce, dairy, various food and beverages, and other daily necessities; while departmental store carries a wide selection of fashion & apparel, electrical appliances, and household items to consumers of all ages. The Store Supermarket & Departmental Store is conceptualized with the aim of offering more value for shopping in no-frills environment, by providing good quality products at low prices and ensuring comprehensive services to shoppers.

TS Concept Store is a brand new concept of modern shopping lifestyle. It is one-shop destination for shoppers with an extensive range of quality products, spacious layout arrangement, attractive and vibrant shopping environment. At present has 3 outlets located at Sg Buloh & Shah Alam, Selangor and Segamat, Johor.

Pacific Grocer & Department Store

Pacific at present has 10 outlets across Peninsular Malaysia such as Alor Star-Kedah, Prai & Komtar-Penang, Kota Bharu-Kelantan, Taiping-Perak, Mentakab-Pahang, Batu Pahat and Kluang-Johor, providing goods and services to all shoppers. Pacific Grocer & Department Store is running a 2 in 1 shopping concept, offering up to 100,000 selections of merchandise to shoppers. “Jimat Setiap Hari”, this motto serves as a focal point in Pacific’s concept, where quality goods are offered at reasonable prices and is one of the main attraction factors for shopping at Pacific Grocer. Departmental store is a highly-targeted retail business with merchandise and goods that appeal more to fashion-conscious shoppers.

Milimewa at present has 6 outlets located in Sabah, East Malaysia, also serving as The Store Corporation Sdn Bhd’s retail arm in East Malaysia and a strategic foothold for future expansion. Milimewa outlets offer goods and services to shoppers of all income levels and is in the business of operating supermarkets and departmental stores as well, carrying a wide assortment of merchandise ranging from fresh produce, household items, apparels, footwear and etc. to consumers of all ages.
