May 05, 2025CEU Grad Secures 8th Place in April 2025 Pharmacists Licensure ExamCentro Escolar University School of Pharmacy Abraham David Bautista-Guiang emerged as one of the topnotchers in the April 2025 Pharmacists Licensure Examination, clinching the 8th place.

With a solid 91% passing rate, Guiang’s success is more than just a personal victory—it stands as a reflection of his perseverance, discipline, and the strong academic foundation provided by CEU.

Joining his feat are 49 new Escolarian registered pharmacists from CEU Manila, Makati and Malolos.

CEU has long established itself as one of the premier institutions for pharmacy education in the country.

May 05, 2025CEU School of Dentistry Remains Sportsfest ChampionCentro Escolar University was once again filled with energy and Escolarian pride as students came together to celebrate the CEU Sportsfest 2025, with the theme “Escolarian Ako: Ciencia Y Virtud Maging sa Palaro,”.

The Sportsfest was spearheaded by the School of Medical Technology under the leadership of Dean Charito Bermido, with the opening ceremonies held at the historic Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

After a week of intense matches, the School of Dentistry once again proved their dominance, emerging as the overall champion of this year’s Sportsfest. Their victory was marked not only by athletic achievements but also by their winning performance in the Cheerpom Dance Competition. Adding to their list of accolades, Sam Lingcangco from the School of Dentistry was named Mr. Sportsfest, while Jairah Salandana from the School of Medical Technology earned the title of Ms. Sportsfest.

The awarding of winners took place during the closing ceremonies at the CEU Student Activity Center. The School of Medical Technology secured second place, followed by the School of Optometry in third. CEU Makati claimed fourth place, while the Schools of Nursing, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Hospitality Management, Science and Technology, Accountancy and Management, and Education, Liberal Arts, Music, and Social Work rounded out the rankings.

Individual athletes also stood out for their impressive performances across various sports events. In women’s volleyball, Angela Mecate and Mieka Rili from the School of Optometry were recognized as Best Digger and Best Opposite Hitter, respectively. Karen Sapites and Jann Bernardez from the School of Medical Technology were awarded Best Outside Hitter and Best Setter, while Gley Catchillar was named Best Libero. Annika Sollano, also from the School of Medical Technology, earned dual honors as Best Middle Blocker and Most Valuable Player.

In the men’s volleyball division, standout athletes from the School of Dentistry included Gabriel Aris as Best Outside Hitter, Michael Morena as Best Digger, Antonio Noceda as Best Libero, and Kurt Santos, who was recognized as both Best Setter and Most Valuable Player. From the School of Medical Technology, Kyle Ortiz was named Best Middle Blocker, while Ivan Mondonedo took the title of Best Opposite Hitter.

On the basketball court, Restie Alejandro stood out as Best Shooting Guard, with Chaz Enriquez of the School of Dentistry taking home the Best Power Forward award. Jayden Fabay from the School of Optometry was recognized as Best Forward, and Rohath Cerelles as Best Guard. George Arcilla from the School of Dentistry earned the distinction of Most Valuable Player in men’s basketball.

As the CEU community celebrates the successful conclusion of this year’s Sportsfest, anticipation is already building for the next. The School of Nursing, led by Dr. Elvira Urgel, is set to take on the role of lead organizer for the next Sportsfest, continuing the tradition of unity, excellence, and Escolarian pride.
