• With the aim of upscaling the measures needed to maintain building facades, in the year 2020, Periodic Façade Inspection (PFI) was made a mandate to all building structures. However, the system is exceptional to constructions reserved for residential usage and of these types: detached, partially detached, structurally linked with houses or terraced. Besides, buildings of maximum altitude being 13m are excepted from the aforementioned mandate.


• The inspection thus said is to be formally performed by Qualified Professional Engineers who are deployed to supervise and certify the building structure for its compliance to safety standards and ascertain that it is free from any threats to the neighbourhoods and general public.


• According to the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the frequency of performing the Periodic Façade Inspection is once in 7 years. Pertaining to the inspection cycle, the BCA makes sure to promptly notify the building owner to perform the PFI without fail.


• Here we step in! We extend end-to-end Periodic Façade Inspection to meet the needs of our clients where we perform extensive inspection formalities backed by a studious panel of Registered Professional Engineers comprising Civil Engineers and Structural Engineers who finally certify the structure for its safety standards.

• It is imperative for any building structure to be inspected by Qualified Professional Engineers (PE) from time to time in order to ascertain its safety and structural fineness. This reassures its safety aspects and certifies the structure not to be of any threat to the occupants and neighbourhoods. However, temporary building structures including detached, semi-detached, terraced or linked housing are not bound to be fall under this routine though.


• According to the Building and Construction Authority, the frequency of performing this Periodic Structural Inspection for residential and non-residential buildings are 10 years and 5 years respectively. Pertaining to the inspection cycle, the BCA makes sure to promptly notify the building owner to perform the PSI without fail.
