Yan Ballet Academy offers a complete classical ballet program with certification by the world's most influential dance organization - Royal Academy of Dance. We complement this with our Elite Program, which focuses on improving the foundational skills of a ballerina and is based on Ms. Yar's 10 years experience as a leading soloist performer for the Shanghai Ballet Company. Our students have taken top awards and qualified for prestigious competitions like Youth America Grand Prix, Prix de Lausanne and Asian Grand Prix. Graduates of YBA have gone on to renowned professional schools like Elmhurst Ballet School (UK) and Kirov Academy of Ballet (Washington, DC).

Classical Ballet Classes That Will Make You Advance

We offer a complete classical ballet program with certification by the world's most influential dance education and training organization - Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). YBA is a RAD Approved Examination Centre, with registered RAD Teachers.

Students begin their training from Pre-Primary levels, progressing into 8 Graded and 6 Vocational levels. Beginners as young as 4 years old with no upper limits are welcome to join the program. This program is suitable for students who are looking for a renowned, systematic curriculum with clear progress measurement through RAD exams.

YBA also has toddler classes (2-3 years old) where children can express their imagination through body movements and dance. The children also learn communication skills in a group setting.

Elite Program that Brings Out the Best

The program focuses on improving the foundational skills of a ballerina and is based on our teacher's extensive experience as a leading performer for international ballet companies, Shanghai Ballet Company, Singapore Ballet and Norwegian National Ballet.

The Elite program was developed for students who want to become well-rounded and strong dancers. Our Elite Program has been taught since 2014 and the participants achieved extraordinary results: more than 400 gold medals in only 5 years. This includes the first ever Singaporean Best Performance Award at the Asian Grand Prix. Our students have taken top awards and qualified for prestigious competitions like Youth America Grand Prix, Prix de Lausanne and Asian Grand Prix. Graduates of YBA have gone on to renowned professional schools like Elmhurst Ballet School (UK), The American Ballet Theatre and Berlin State Ballet School and summer schools like the European School of Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, Berlin State Ballet, Norwegian National Ballet, The Royal Ballet (first Singaporean to get full scholarship) and Australian Ballet. Students for our Solo Program are chosen from the Elite Program participants. Admittance to our Elite Program is by audition only.
