Steeped in history, this former residence of Koh Lay Huan, a founding father of Penang, has been painstakingly restored to it’s original design and detail,  transporting guests back in time to reside in the private mansion of a prominent wealthy merchant in 18th century Penang. The restoration has been cited _“as a model of restoration’_by The George Town World Heritage Incorporated, the State body appointed to safeguard George Town’s Unesco Heritage status.
