Location, location, location. Mother’s Restaurant sits at 401 Poydras Street at the corner of Tchoupitoulas (Chop-a-TOO-lis) and is one of the most widely recognized landmarks in New Orleans’ Central Business District (CBD). Within walking distance of the National WWII Museum, the French Quarter, Superdome, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Harrah’s Casino and the Aquarium of the Americas, it lies in the heart of the city’s visitor destinations and is convenient to all of the major hotels.


Hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. – 10 p.m. daily, seven days a week. We have no dress code, so come as you are, but come early – we don’t take reservations. Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are all accepted.

During and after World War II, Mother’s became a local hang-out for “the few and the proud” – the U.S. Marine Corps. The Marine spirit was in the family – five of the seven Landry children (five sons and two daughters) joined the Marine Corps.
