Hwa Yuan, the celebrated Sichuan-world cuisine restaurant that graced Manhattan’s Chinatown back in the 80’s is back once again to serve the gastronomes and Chinese food aficionados of the Big Apple! Hwa Yuan in its past was founded by Chef Shorty Tang, and quickly became the de-facto Chinese takeout restaurant in NYC for all, including prominent names like Steve McQueen, Peter Falk, Peter Newman and celebrity food critic, Mimi Sheraton.

Hwa Yuan reincarnates as the iconic Chinese cuisine restaurant in NYC under the oversight of Chef Chen Lien Tang, who aims to continue the family business of treating Manhattan’s taste buds to quality ‘Sichuan-world’ cuisine. Our guests can look forward to some of the most savoury, authentic Sichuan dishes, fused with cuisine from across the globe. Come one, come all- our three-storied establishment offers an ambient cosy dining environment, an energetic bar section and more.
