"The Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA) was formally inaugurated on 27 January 1986 under the joint sponsorship of Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan, Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan, Singapore Kwang Tung Association, Nanyang Khek Community Guild, The Singapore Hainan Hwee Kuan, Sam Kiang Huay Kwan, and Singapore Foochow Association. The Federation's primary objectives are to promote understanding and appreciation of Chinese language, culture and values, to strengthen cooperation among the clan associations, as well as to organise and support educational, cultural and community activities."
