What is your program/curriculum?
At Cambridge Preschool, our iSTEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) emphasizes hands-on learning and practical problem-solving. We engage children in real-world challenges, sparking creativity and innovative thinking through age-appropriate, experiential activities.
How do you teach academics? Can my child enroll in the middle of the school year?
Our flexible curriculum allows teachers to tailor methods and materials to each child's unique needs, skills, and pace. We set objectives based on age and development, covering motor skills, socio-emotional understanding, and self-help skills. Progress in these areas is detailed in term-end reports.
What is your classroom set up?
We use an open classroom setup that mirrors real-world settings. This design helps children develop concentration amidst various activities while feeling secure, comfortable, and connected, with everyone in sight and easy to reach.
What is your teaching approach/method?
We customize our teaching methods by blending progressive and traditional approaches to meet each child's unique needs. This encourages the development of vital early life skills in a dynamic and stimulating environment, nurturing their confidence to achieve their full potential as learners.
What occurs during the Trial Period?
The child will experience three days of complete Cambridge immersion, including personalized instruction, circle time, activities, designated playtime, snacks, grooming, and story time.
Can I schedule my trial on a weekend?
Our centers close on weekends and national holidays, allowing children and staff to recharge and spend quality time with family and friends, contributing positively to holistic development.
Does my trial have to be scheduled on consecutive days?
Booking your trial classes on consecutive dates will enable the teacher to offer a precise evaluation of your child, maximizing the benefit of the experience.
Is it permissible for either me or my child's nanny to accompany them in the classroom during the trial?
Usually, the teacher permits this on the first day of the trial to ease the child into the new classroom setting. However, the teachers strongly encourage providing the child with the opportunity to act independently in the school whenever possible.
What are the requirements for enrolling?
- Child's PSA birth certificate
- Photocopy of Passport (For Foreigners and Dual Citizenship)
- Photocopy of immunization records
- Completed enrollment forms (with photo of child and authorized fetchers)
- Signed consent forms and waivers
What are your payment terms?
- Per term (Every 3 months)
- Semi-annual (Every 5 months)
- Annual (Once a year)
Do you accept children with special needs?
Cambridge Pre-school is not a SPED school; however, we welcome all enrollments. After a 3-day trial, we assess the child's suitability. A medical certificate from the child's developmental pediatrician, recommending mainstream schooling, is required.
Do I have to bring anything for the trial?
Yes, please provide socks, indoor slippers, a toothbrush, toothpaste, gargling cup, and a change of clothes for grooming. If your child isn't potty-trained, include extra diapers and wipes.
