The apartment was clean, and cool. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly Unfortunately I was not advised by the hotel that the pool was not in use during my stay. My kids love swimming pools and I was shocked to turn up to find we couldn't use it. Instead we had to be escorted to another hotel to use a pool. This was not on your website about the maintenance or having to use another hotels pool, when I told reception about this he claimed it was last minute urgent repairs that needed to happen. That being so surely you should still advise your guests that the facility was not available so they can decide if they still want to stay or even as a customer service act! The front of the hotel was also under maintenance again with no notification before hand causing our travel arrangements to cause confusion for the drivers on drop offs and pickups, as well as confusion for visiting relatives. Also I paid for breakfast as on the website it stated it was continental, however on our first morning of breakfast there was not the continental we were expecting instead there was curry, rice and some Singaporean cakes. The array of cereals was of 3 choices and one choice of milk. My kids would not eat the food provided due to it being curry etc and therefore we had to go elsewhere/provide other options.

Stay clear of this poorly managed property. I generally do not write bad reviews but this place is truly deserving of it. The GM condones the bad behaviour of certain long term selfish inconsiderate guests - items like shoes, slippers and bicycle can be found in the common areas even blocking the fire exit sign and potentially a fire safety hazard. Understand that they are allowed to place such items outside as they have no space in the apartment. Bad smells can be found on many floors. An ozone generator is placed permanently in the corridor for the selfish guest who decides to turned it on all day and night generating an unpleasant choking smell, without any regards for the well being of other guests and staff who are forced to live with it for the entire day. The GM should try spending some time with the ozone generator to get an experience of it. Typically hotels utilise such equipment only when necessary for a short period of time which are then removed immediately once it has met its purpose of removing odour but shockingly it is placed permanently for the selfish guest who is seemingly addicted to it. If one tries to switched it off for some fresh air, selfish will come and activate it back. Any educated person will know that long term use of ozone generators are not recommended due to potential health risks. Continuous use may lead to respiratory irritation, worsen asthma and potentially cause permanent lung damage particularly in the vulnerable. Walls are also very thin. Can hear the continuous sound emitting from the ozone generator, closing of doors, beeping sound of washing machine, crying of kid who has been spanked and the ringing of bicycle bell occasionally in the morning from the selfish who placed their bicycle in the corridor. Potentially problematic for light sleepers. Poorly trained staff - entering of units even when do not disturb sign is hanged on the door knob. Lifts are extremely slow - be prepared to wait, there are chairs placed at the carpark lobby which staff/guests frequently utilised while waiting for the lift. Poor designs - many units have either a steep staircase climb up or down to reach the unit so those with young kids or mobility issues may want to take note. Kitchen sink is built directly behind the main door which swings inwards in some units - an accident waiting to happen. Location while near Orchard road is up on a hill, something to consider for those with mobility issues. Breakfast is extremely limited, cold and poor taste. It’s catered from the hotel beside it where food is prepared prior to 7am to be brought over for breakfast hour 7-10am. So the peak hour breakfast crowd of 9-10am are consuming food which is prepared some time back. Plenty of better options can be found in the vicinity. For a couple of dollars more, one can actually have the full buffet spread in the hotel next door. Skipped it throughout my entire one month stay even though its part of my diamond benefits, setting the record of the only place in the world where I deliberately avoid breakfast. Sadly, will be staying clear of Accor properties for the time being due to the GM and definitely will not wish for others to go through such an experience ruining their holiday/staycation. Not recommended. A huge relief to be finally out of the place. Worse GM ever encountered and that is saying a lot given that I stay hundreds of nights annually with the various hospitality brands. Unfortunately staff are limited in the ways they can deal with selfish inconsiderate guests if the GM is not supportive. Tip: Avoid staying on level 22 in particular if one wish to avoid the full horror experience described above as selfish long term guests can be found in unit 22A.

At Novotel Living Singapore Orchard, we accommodate a diverse mix of short and long-stay guests. To ensure comfort and safety for all, our team conducts regular inspections of common areas. Items left outside units, if found obstructing access or fire safety signage are promptly addressed. Residents are routinely reminded of community guidelines to maintain a safe and considerate environment. The ozone generator referenced is not intended for continuous use and was placed to address a specific odour (eg : cooking) concern, in line with standard hotel practices. We are also aware of your comment regarding entry during a "Do Not Disturb" status. Our housekeeping team is trained to strictly follow this protocol, and any deviation is both rare and regrettable. We are reinforcing this training as a precautionary step. As for the elevators, we acknowledge that brief wait times may occur during peak hours. The chairs in the carpark lobby are provided for guest comfort and are not a reflection of malfunction or design inefficiency. Our property is housed within a distinctive architectural structure. Some units do include internal stairs, which are clearly indicated during the booking process. Guests with mobility needs are encouraged to inform us in advance, so we may allocate a more suitable unit. Regarding the kitchen layout and unit design, all accommodations comply with safety and building regulations. While we understand that layouts may not suit every preference, guest safety remains our top priority and your comments will be considered in future planning. With respect to breakfast, our offering is catered to meet the needs of long-stay guests seeking convenience and value. Meals are prepared daily and delivered in accordance with food safety protocols. While the selection is intentionally modest, we regret that it did not meet your expectations, and we are currently reviewing guest feedback to enhance our offering. We are disappointed to hear your perception of our leadership and guest management. Our team is committed to creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all. Managing long-stay communities requires balance, and we strive to address individual concerns fairly and professionally.
