Youthful Skin Solution with MD Dermatics Anti Aging Skincare Treatment

How does aging affect the skin? As we age, our skin undergoes various changes that affect the outermost epidermis down to the deeper hypodermis. Many of these changes aren’t exactly for the better, leading to wrinkling, dry skin, and many other complications. It helps to understand how our skin functions to truly understand how aging affects it, and how you can do more to protect your skin. It might not seem apparent at first, but the skin is your body’s largest organ, covering the entirety of your figure. It’s important for regulating the body’s temperature, removing waste products, and protecting you from harmful bacteria, among other things. The skin consists of three main layers. Epidermis The epidermis is the uppermost layer of the skin. It serves as a barrier to protect your body from harmful microorganisms and infection, thanks to various chemicals the skin produces. It also provides melanin, the pigment which gives our skin its color. The epidermis is also responsible for replacing dead skin cells with new ones at regular intervals to keep the skin healthy. As we age, the epidermis will slowly become drier and easier to bruise, among other things. Part of the reason this dryness occurs is the epidermis isn’t able to replace the dead skin cells in a timely fashion, leading to a buildup of dead skin cells on the surface. Dermis The dermis is the middle layer of the skin, located just beneath the epidermis. You’ll find the proteins collagen and elastin, which are responsible for keeping the skin strong and flexible. It’s also the home of many other important components: the roots of hair follicles, various nerve receptors, oil and sweat glands, and blood vessels to nourish the epidermis. Similar to the epidermis, the dermis weakens with age, making it thinner, losing its elasticity, and even reducing blood supply to the epidermis, making wounds slower to heal. Subcutis Also known as the hypodermis, this is the deepest layer of the skin below the dermis. It’s mainly made up of fat and connective tissues that connect the skin to muscles and bones. The subcutis serves as a cushion that protects your internal organs, muscles, and bones, as well as regulating body temperature. As we age, the subcutis also begins to thin because of a loss of fat, making the subcutis thinner and weakening its cushioning effect. This also means the thermoregulation aspect of the subcutis gradually weakens over time. What are the common signs of aging skin? Sagging skin When collagen and elastin levels in the dermis reduce, it causes the skin to lose elasticity; coupled with gravity taking an effect and a depletion of the subcutis’ fatty layer. All of this leads to the loosening and sagging of the skin. This is particularly noticeable in the jawline, cheeks, and neck. Wrinkles and fine lines These may appear as folds or creases on your skin, particularly around the eyes, mouth, and neck. This also happens due to reduced collagen and elastin, as well as a thinner fatty layer, but can also be exacerbated by the frequent use of various facial muscles. The loss of elasticity means that your skin doesn’t return to its normal shape after being stretched; muscle cell damage and weaker neuromuscular control are also contributing factors. Age spots and uneven skin tone Melanin is produced by the epidermis by cells called melanocytes. It’s possible for melanin production to become uneven and an overproduction of the compound can lead to age spots. As for uneven skin tones, dry skin is one of the culprits because the lack of moisture will cause damage and dryness to the skin. Both of these can happen at the same time, often due to prolonged UV exposure from sunlight, hormonal changes, and as part of the natural aging process. Higher risk of skin infections Sebum is produced by the sebaceous glands in the dermis, a part of your skin’s defensive mechanism. Sebum is slightly acidic, allowing it to protect your skin from certain types of bacteria and germs. Over time, it loses its acidity, making you increasingly prone to skin infections in the future. MD Dermatics and your anti-aging skincare routine MD Dermatics offers a wide range of skincare products specifically formulated to target the signs of aging and promote youthful, radiant skin. Leaf through our selection of available skincare solutions here: Anti-aging ampules MD Dermatics Ampules are formulated with unique ingredients sourced from all over the globe, aimed at enhancing skincare treatment routines used by professional aestheticians. As of now, this is only available to MD Dermatics’ Physician/Consultant network and isn’t meant for home use. C5 Vitamin C + E The C5 Vitamin C + E Serum is an antioxidant blend formulated with pure L-ascorbic acid and Vitamin E. This serum stimulates subdermal collagen and elastin production, while also promoting healthier skin that can better protect you from harmful bacteria and germs. The serum also helps address various warning signs of premature aging, such as fine lines. The serum is sold in two variations: 10% concentration is for general skincare needs, while 5% concentration is for sensitive areas. Collagen Nutrient Masque Pamper your skin with the Collagen Nutrient Masque, a nourishing treatment enriched with native collagen, cellular complexes, amino acids, and vitamins. This masque increases moisture levels, effectively fending off various manifestations of premature aging. By infusing the skin with essential nutrients, the Collagen Nutrient Masque can also help restore the skin’s vitality and youthfulness by encouraging a smoother, more luminous complexion. Eye Cream Essence This product serves to treat excessive dryness and wrinkles around the eyes, on top of adding moisture to the eye contour areas, which come together to give you a revitalized and refreshed look. Why consider MD Dermatics’ Anti-Aging Skincare Treatment lineup? Suitable for all skin types The methods needed to treat different skin conditions vastly differ based on several reasons. For one, some people may have allergies to specific types of treatments, making it difficult to properly treat their

OTC Skincare Products and MD Dermatics: Which One’s For You?

With so many different skincare brands to choose from, picking the right one for you can quickly get troublesome. It doesn’t help that one person’s skincare routine may not necessarily lead to the same results; in some cases, it might end up triggering an allergic reaction. Your skincare routine can depend on your use of either over-the-counter (OTC) products meant for everyday skincare purposes, or medical-grade skincare products like MD Dermatics, which offer targeted (and sometimes pricier) skincare solutions. Learn more about the difference of both in this short guide. The Pros and Cons of OTC Products OTC skincare products are the most readily available and affordable skincare products that the average person can buy. On top of that, you can easily find them sold in convenience stores, pharmacies, and even supermarkets; you won’t even need a prescription or professional advice to get one. You might notice skincare brands generally market their OTC skincare products as a set. Skincare brands tend to formulate their OTC products to work in tandem with one another to produce desirable results. Frequent use can slowly increase their effectiveness over time once your skin starts getting used to it. You can still experiment with different products to find the ideal routine for you but expect to spend more time and money to find something that works. Once, you’ve bought the right skincare products you need, you can dramatically improve your skincare routine. You might even discover something new that your favourite brand doesn’t sell but works wonders for your skin. However, OTC products may not always be as effective at addressing specific skin conditions. Most OTC products have a lower concentration of active ingredients and plenty of filler ingredients to make up for it. That means the benefits don’t permeate into the deeper parts of the skin, or don’t fully resolve your skincare issues. Despite what some brands claim, their benefits aren’t fully supported by clinical studies – thereby explaining the mixed results among users. There’s also the risk of skin irritation or allergies when you use certain OTC products. You might experience anything from a mild breakout of rashes to something more serious that could be classified as a health hazard. If you’re using multiple products at the same time, that could make identifying the root cause a bit more of a challenge. Why choose MD Dermatics instead? MD Dermatics makes medical-grade skincare products that are scientifically formulated for specific skin conditions. They’re also backed by comprehensive clinical studies and stringent healthcare regulations to ensure they are safe and effective for potential users. It’s important to note that medical-grade skincare products have much higher and stronger concentrations of active ingredients than their OTC counterparts. Along with their medical formulation, this ensures that the effects go deep into the dermis where your skin cells reside, leading to far better results in the long term. Getting your hands on something like MD Dermatics isn’t as straightforward, however. Given the name, you’ll need to be prescribed by a medical professional before you can start using it. In SKIN DFINE’s case, one of our professional dermatologists or qualified aestheticians can help you determine which product is best suited to your skin type and conditions. The benefits of MD Dermatics 1. Scientifically formulated MD Dermatics’ skincare products are all scientifically formulated to meet US regulatory standards and the highest level of quality control and assurance in terms of effectiveness and safety for all skin types. When going with MD Dermatics, you can be assured that you’re using the best medical-grade skincare products that are based on thorough scientific research backed by years of research. 2. Targeted solutions With over two decades of experience in the skincare industry, you can count on MD Dermatics to provide targeted solutions to all your skincare concerns. Their track record of positive results and skincare safety have helped to establish its reputation among its users worldwide. Whether you’re dealing with acne, early signs of ageing, or even hyper-pigmentation, they have a line of products specifically designed to meet your needs. 3. Dermatologist recommended MD Dermatics is a brand many dermatologists trust and recommend for treating a variety of skin issues. This seal of approval is backed by plenty of dermatological research and clinical studies. 4. Value for money While MD Dermatics can be at a higher price point than OTC skincare products, this isn’t without merit. For one, the rigorous health and safety standards it must meet ensure that you’re buying something that will work for your skincare needs. Secondly, whatever funds are earned from the sale of medical-grade skincare products go into further research and continual quality improvements rather than marketing and advertising. The results speak for themselves, after all. Here’s a small selection of MD Dermatics’ lineup that you can try out for yourself: Advanced Acne System If you suffer from acne-prone skin, the Advanced Acne System might be what you need. It consists of three key components: an acne cleanser, acne toner, and acne fighter gel; there’s also an optional acne treatment solution available. This set works together to regulate the production of sebum, target the bacteria responsible for acne, and keep your pores clean and clear. This way, you can address the root cause of your acne while also preventing the growth of pimples and keeping your skin healthy. Once your acne clears up, you can follow up with the Skin Rebirth system. Skin Rebirth System The Skin Rebirth System is a comprehensive treatment package with five components, deeply cleaning your skin and pores while also promoting cell regeneration and strengthening the epidermis to better protect you from harmful bacteria and germs. To achieve optimal results for skin conditions like hyper-pigmentation, dark and age spots, or fine lines, you can use it for up to nine months. Follow it up with MD Dermatics’ various skin maintenance products – such as the HydraBoost serum that uses vitamin B5 as a regenerative agent for healing your skin – for two to
