Recondition Sport Rims (Standard Packages)

Our reconditioning service is designed to restore a set of 4 sport rims to their optimal condition.

We begin by assessing each rim's condition to determine the appropriate methods and evaluate any associated risks, ensuring safety and the best possible outcome.

Paint Removal:

Old paint is meticulously removed using sandblasting techniques.

Bent Rim Repair:

If bends are detected, rims are compressed and restored to their original roundness.

Surface Preparation:

Application of cement to address surface imperfections.

Priming:

Application of a primer base coat on the rim surface and inner barrel to prepare for final painting and long-term maintenance

Final Coloring:

Application of the chosen final color.

Protective Lacquer:

Application of lacquer, followed by oven curing for 4-6 hours to ensure durability.

Finishing Touches:

Diamond cutting or polishing, depending on rim materials.

Excluded in the Recondition Standard Package (Subject to Extra Charges):

Welding:

Structural repairs involving welding are not included

Silicone Application:

Use of silicone-based products is excluded.

Custom Color Options:

Specially mixed computer colors, double-tone colors, or hyper series or translucent colors are available at an additional cost.

Full Lacquer Application:

Comprehensive lacquer layer is available only with our premium package.

Consultation and Quotation:

Please note that online consultations provide only

. An accurate quotation requires an in-person assessment of the rims at our Larkin outlet.

Terms & Conditions:

Deposit: An advance 50% deposit is required to initiate the reconditioning process.

Duration: The reconditioning process requires a minimum of 8 working days.

Spare Rims: Subject to availability and compatibility with your vehicle model, spare rims may be provided during the service period.

Coating: We do not provide protective coating services in any of our Recondition Package

Process Adherence: We employ industry-standard methods to ensure quality and safety. While we appreciate customer preferences, we request that our professional procedures be respected to achieve the best results.

Non-Repairable Conditions:

Certain rim conditions may render them unsuitable for repair, such as:

Twisted Rim Barrel: Severe deformations compromising structural integrity.

Broken Rim Spokes: Structural damages that affect safety and performance.

Excessive Wear: Rims that are too thin or underweight, compromising safety.

In such cases,

replacement
may be the safest and most cost-effective solution.

I recently changed the car tyres and perform the rim servicing at Sun Hup Tyre Sdn Bhd located at Larkin, Johor Bahru. This is the very first time in my 20 years of driving experience that the wheel alignment and tyre balancing is performed 100% with the digital smart machine, and 0% rely on the mechanic's expertise, experience, mood and guessing game.

They use a hi-tech digital 3D imaging machine, which can X-Ray Scanning to ensure Rim is in good shape to avoid shaky steering and tyre condition to avoid bursting. What amazes me is this machine can give instructions to mechanics to perform tyre swaps to optimal tyre positioning for a safe and smooth drive.

It really gives me a top-notch comfort driving experience, I am extremely satisfied with the services, and I will not hesitate to recommend them to all my friends and contacts.

To all drivers, you really have to experience this once!!

They provide the best service for your precious car, they have a jobsheet when you service your car here, even you only come for tyre pump, they will check all the problem from your car from head to toe, check the lamp, signal everything will check even you come for a small job, they also provide repair and recond rim and skimming also slotted your disk with a reasonable price. But please bare in your mind all the services even for a small work they will charge you with a 6% gst of course 😁. Overall is okay
