Tai Cheong Bakery (Holland Village)
"Tai Cheong Bakery was started in 1954 by egg tart Master Au Yeung’s uncle, who later handed down the business to Au Yeung. After taking over Tai Cheong Bakery, Au Yeung pioneered the cookie crust for egg tarts, refining several other recipes using techniques he learned from his previous work in a hotel baking cakes. Tai Cheong gained popularity with locals and foreigners alike, reaching its peak when Chris Patten (then governor of Hong Kong) started frequenting the original outlet at Lyndhurst Street. The popularity of Tai Cheong remains till today."

Tai Cheong Bakery Singapore was opened in conjunction with Food People Pte Ltd and Tai Cheong Bakery Hong Kong. Tai Cheong Bakery started in Singapore as a series of small pop-up stores in Takashimaya in March & May 2016, subsequently opening its first permanent store in Takashimaya basement in July 2016. Following its success, Tai Cheong Bakery opened a Cha Chaan Tang at Holland Village in November 2016.
Tai Cheong Bakery Counters offer a delectable selection of baked goodies for takeaway only, with pastries like Bolo Buns and Chicken Pies. Of course, the famous egg tarts are available for purchase as well.
Tai Cheong Bakery at Holland Village features a variety of dishes at their only Cha Chaan Teng (Cafe) outlet. These dishes have been inspired by old Hong Kong classics and have been reinvented for a fresh, modern twist. Besides egg tarts, the full menu includes dishes like Three Coloured Silky Egg with Rice and Scrambled Egg Toast Stack with Chicken Chop.
