In love with the Ballet Fitness classes since 2020! The instructors are super friendly and welcoming. I enjoy the benefits of a full body workout while learning proper ballet techniques and moving with the soothing music. Over the years, I feel stronger and my posture has improved. The studio space is always comfortable and inviting.

I first chanced upon BalletBody back in November 2019 and was really intimidated to set foot in a dance studio, but I still recall loving the fun instructors that led us in a non- judgemental, comfortable space. Not to mention the fulfilling burn after class as we wobbled down the stairs for the first time. I’ve been back for more on a weekly basis ever since!
Classes are integral to my overall well-being! Physically, stretching out and using muscles that I rarely use has alleviated my body aches from hours spent turtling over the office desk and made me build strength to carry my body frame (without bulking up). That aside, I love the attention to detail, the gracefulness in the smallest movements, and discipline that comes with ballet techniques. Mentally, you could call classes my safe space at the end of a draining week. They help me shut off from work and I genuinely look forward to classes whenever I have space on my schedule.
Everyone starts somewhere. Give it a shot and be patient with your progress! As someone with two left feet and no natural coordination, my only goal in class is to not faceplant during centre work (am still amazed it hasn’t happened…yet).

Ballet was a significant part of my childhood; and Balletbody has been a great place for me to rediscover my love for dance and movement as an adult. All the instructors have been patient and encouraging in ensuring all of us have the space and freedom to explore the limits of our bodies with appropriate challenges. The space is inviting and immaculate and the equipment are well-maintained. If you enjoy dance or want to try a new fitness routine, I highly recommend BalletBody!

This is a lovely little studio with elegant, beautiful, encouraging instructors and ballerinas. I had tried a few studios and this was the one with the warmest energy from the staff. This is a safe space with no judgement and snappy teachers, if you’re a beginner but always wanted to dance ballet this is a great place to start. For adults we have plenty of stress and pain in our daily life and commitments, we don’t need more stress with our hobbies. This is a place with classes that are fun and relaxing, it’s my weekly therapy.

I always have a good time at the Ballet Fitness classes. These classes are great for those looking for ballet-focused workouts, i.e. conditioning and exercises that are incorporated into ballet moves - plies, tendus, fondus, ron de jambes etc. The instructors are also extremely well versed in the ballet vocabulary and demonstrate the movements with grace and precision. They will also not forget to remind you to turn out or plié deeper which really mimics a ballet class atmosphere, with a lot more burn in the inner thighs and glutes and everywhere else really. We also wear wrist weights for that extra strength training.
It was a very refreshing and new experience for me, compared to the other typical “barre workouts” I have attended which are about 3% ballet inspired and more akin to mat pilates.
The studio is also well-furnished with showers, toilets and a changing room. They also have lockers and a dressing table. A clean and welcoming environment for everyone!

I have been attending classes since 2020. The studio remains a welcoming and beautiful environment to get my workout fix, while at the same time learning the fundamentals of the art of ballet and de-stressing with the calmness it brings. Instructors are friendly, attentive and patient, which makes their classes accessible to everyone.
