The role of kindergarten education is to prepare children for the enjoyable and exciting journey of life-long learning. Early childhood is the best time to ignite a child’s love for learning. A child who sees learning as pleasurable and challenging has a headstart on the journey of life-long learning and looks forward to the spectrum of opportunities they can explore and discover.
OUR PROGRAMME
Our programme is based on the thematic approach, delivered through a wide range of creative integrated play and hands-on learning experiences to help enhance and foster the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of children. Through their learning experiences in the school, the children will become independent, responsible, creative and confident individuals equipped with problem-solving skills.
Our programme is also based on active and natural learning as we believe that this is the best and most effective way to develop self-directed learning behaviour in children at this age. The learning experiences that have been carefully planned for the children are supplemented with interesting learning centres. These learning centres engage children’s natural curiosity and innate desire to explore, touch and feel. They allow children to construct knowledge and meaning for themselves as they discover and interact with their environment. Our programme also aim to enhance social skills, which are needed beyond their preschool years.
Our 3 to 4 year old children in the Pre-nursery and Nursery classes are taught purely in Mandarin. The 5 to 6 year old children in Kindergarten 1 and 2 are taught in both English and Mandarin.
