About Us

Mang Inasal, the Philippines’ Grill Expert, has been serving mouthwatering Ihaw-Sarap food and Unli-Saya experiences for over 20 years.

Our journey began on December 12, 2003, when Edgar “Injap” Sia II founded the first Mang Inasal in Iloilo City. Inspired by the Hiligaynon term for “Mr. Barbecue,” we became a household name with our iconic Chicken Inasal and set a new standard by offering unlimited rice — an industry first that made us stand out from competitors.

As we rapidly expanded,Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC)saw our potential and acquired 70% of Mang Inasal in 2010 for ₱3 billion. By 2016, JFC completed the acquisition, buying the remaining 30% for ₱2 billion, making Mang Inasal a fully owned subsidiary of JFC.
