Heguru Singapore @ City Square Mall, previously Heguru @ Novena, is managed by Heguru Center Pte Ltd. We are proud to be officially licensed by Henmi Educational General Laboratory (HEGL), Japan. HEGL, pronounced as “Heguru”, is one of the largest right brain development school in Japan, and offers an extensive range of right brain developmental programmes catering to children of various age groups.
This educational programme has been studied and developed by our founders Mr Hirotada Henmi and Mrs Ruiko Henmi for over 30 years. At Heguru Center, we are committed to nurturing the potential abilities of our children by developing their right brain to its maximum. Lessons are conducted by HEGL certified instructors in a fun and lively atmosphere. This will ensure full transfer of the educational knowledge researched by HEGL.
Heguru Programs
Heguru Singapore @ City Square Mall offers right brain training and development programmes in a nurturing and child-friendly environment to give children the ideal development in their formative years. The goal of the Heguru baby classes and education is for children to acquire “9 Fundamental Abilities” through a “2-level Step-up Skills” before formal education begins.

Kaeven has blossomed under the training from Heguru and is now filled with confidence. His ability to remember a string of number or colours is quite remarkable. What delighted me was his ability to recap science or worldly concepts which were shared in class through flashcards and songs. The program also ignited his love for puzzles. He is generally able to visualize well. The experience with Heguru has been wonderful and each time when we miss a lesson, he would be very disappointed. Say Hi to City Square Mall’s first 2018 Heguru baby, Elijah! Not knowing how much will a 5 months old baby listen and understand in class, Mummy took a leap of faith and started classes with us. With quality brain stimulation coupled with home practices, mummy was surprised to learn that Elijah was quick to pick up things! At 7 months old, Elijah is able understand simple instructions like ‘high 5’ and ‘kick your right leg’. He is also able to pick the right item in a game of ‘which is the item?’.

My boy started with Heguru when he was 6 months old. As a new mummy, I was pretty skeptical about right brain training at the start. But many of my friends have sent their children to Heguru for classes. I did my research and compared between big right brain schools like Heguru and Shichida. I love how Heguru does so much in the 50 minutes lesson and it lives up to the name of right brain training of being fast-paced! My boy has just turned two and he’s able to speak many words and also in short sentences. He is also able to read one syllabus word from flash cards. I could observe his memory is very good for a 2 year old! Really thankful that I decided to give it a go at Heguru and I will strongly recommend this program to other parents!

Kaelyn started off as a reserved girl with low confidence in a group setting. However, after only a few months in Heguru, I could see her transformation. She would unreservedly share with me the activities done in class. Her eyes would light up, showing true love for the class. Her ability to work fast is also very apparent after working independently on her homework. She used to be very hard on herself when she is unable to achieve something but now, she strives to better herself and is motivated to find the correct answer. My child attended Shichida when she was 8 months old. We discovered Heguru when she turned one and continued with the Heguru journey after. Now she is 6 years old and in the Primary program. I like the varieties of activities Heguru has to offer every lesson. The fast paced lesson has helped my girl to stretch her concentration span which was a major concern to me!
