Welcome! Thank you for dropping by. We hope that you will enjoy learning about Apple Tree Playhouse. We are a preschool inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy in early childhood education. An architect-designed environment where children’s abilities and natural aptitudes are nurtured.
We offer an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education. Our Reggio Emilia inspired, inquiry-based curriculum, emphasises on child-initiative learning. Our caring teachers encourage and motivate students to explore, investigate and manipulate objects and ideas. Thus, maximises the potential of our students to become active learner based on their interests and strength.
Preschool With IB Candidacy
As from January 2024, Apple Tree Playhouse became an IB (International Baccalaureate) candidacy school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), combining the Reggio Emilia philosophy with the rigorous IB framework. Fundamentally, both recognize learners as active participants in their own learning, emphasize on critical thinking, communication and problem-solving.

The kids have regular English and Chinese lessons, learn to read and write, study different topics about the world around us, have lots of creative activities, and acquire practical life skills. The school organises trips and events for the kids, and they always look forward to them.
I appreciate that the school has a nice interior (not overstimulating), and has healthy meals prepared in house. We also receive regular updates with photos through the school app.

Apple Tree Playhouse definitely deserved the 5 stars rating. My child has been with them since playgroup and we have been hearing a lot of positive feedback from him, despite his young age. He enjoyed the environment, enjoyed being around the teaching and non-teaching staff and he always returned home and shared a lot of the happy moments he had in school.From a parents point of view, the staff there, teaching and non-teaching, are indeed performing beyond our expectation. They are very patient, caring and passionate in teaching. We have seen how much our child has grown, from a very dependent pampered only child to one who keeps reminding us that “I can do it” and wishes to do things on his own independently. We love how the school engages with us parents, through their apps and also face-to-face events organised. During those face-to-face events, teachers and the principal will share things about our child which helps us better manage him and also to give suggestions, with consideration of our child’s age and growth. They constantly have “homework” for parents, to better build the bond between parents and child through handicraft work.They handled matters professionally and even during the pandemic with the soonest update to parents.
The school facilities are very conducive for learning which focuses on promoting learning through sensory touch, imaginative thinking, creative learning & thinking. With its strategic location, students were allowed to explore out of the classroom environment where they get to learn things of our everyday lives, safely.
I have never regretted, not for once, for sending my child to Apple Tree Playhouse, the place where children excel. Thank You Apple Tree Playhouse!!

It was not easy to find a centre that fits my daughter. Apple Tree Playhouse was one of the very few childcare centres that she liked. She also liked her educators too.
Educators update the progress weekly with photos and write up, thus my wife and I have an idea on what my child does in school.
The centre also helped in her learning of the basics in language, maths, and drawing. She made friends here too.
In fact, we liked this centre so much that even though we have shifted quite far away early this year, we decided to have my kid finish her childcare time here until the end of this year, in spite of the distance needed to travel.
