Reinforce the important lessons
We understand our students have invested valuable time and resources into learning a new language. Therefore, we continuously review our study materials to ensure they are beneficial and reinforce the lessons we wish to impart.
We hope to enable actual language use so our students can continue to use what they have learned outside of the classroom. To achieve this aim, our classes are designed to focus on oral interactions to encourage them to speak Korean and familiarise themselves with the language. After all, practice makes perfect.

“First and foremost, we would like to sincerely thank Onlyou and their teachers for the past 3 years of guidance. We are very much grateful for the systematic curriculum and caring teachers. Kirstyn and Gwyneth scored full marks for their Topik and we must thank Onlyou for this achievement.
We started attending lessons with Onlyou since Aug 2019, over the past 3 years, we benefitted much from the systematic approaches and well planned curriculum. Most importantly the notes have been very comprehensive and structured. If we base our studies solely on the textbook, it is definitely insufficient. Hence the notes were very useful.
The additional volcabulary notes you provided for our Topik preparation was extremely useful for us to identify what were our learning gaps.
The small class size since foundation class is also very beneficial and provided an opportunity for us to practise our speaking.
Besides lessons with Onlyou, we also practiced sample Topik papers to prepare ourselves. The practice papers helped us to have a better idea what are the various sections in Topik, the duration for listening and reading and how the questions are presented. With these practices, it allowed us to manage our timing better during the Topik itself.
Personally I am weaker in listening and speaking, better in reading. I hope to improve my listening in the next few years. As the twins enjoy kpop, they read the lyrics of the songs to improve on their listening and vocalbulary. I hope to do the same by reading the lyrics to songs and listening to songs at the same time.”

” I have been learning the Korean language at ONLYOU Korean School for the past 8 months, from Foundation class to Beginner Levels 1 & 2. Before I started taking up the new language, I was overwhelmed by the different language schools I could choose from. I even went for trial lessons at different schools, including ONLYOU Korean School. Finally, I chose ONLYOU because it gave me very homely and cosy vibes due to the friendly teachers and small class size. Also, it is conveniently located near Beauty World MRT station, which is easily accessible by Downtown Line.
Apart from the textbook, we use audio guides, worksheets, vocabulary cards and even online resources to learn the Korean language. The lessons are practical, structured and interactive as we often have conversations with our classmates and the teacher, to master new sentence structures (grammar) and vocabulary learnt.
In addition, when we are unable to make it for lessons, there will be make-up classes so ensure that we can catch up with the syllabus. It is also very heart-warming to get little gifts on Pepero Day, have a Christmas gift exchange activity and receive a text message on my birthday. ONLYOU Korean School really takes the extra mile to make the students feel at home.
This learning journey has taught me that it is alright to make mistakes and we will learn more from one another. Having a small class makes the learning environment very safe and we are not afraid to raise questions when in doubt.
I highly recommend everyone who is interested to learn the Korean language to choose ONLYOU Korean School. The passionate teachers will definitely make your learning experience a fun and enjoyable one! “

” I look forward to every week’s lesson. Every lesson is not only productive, but the teacher also makes the effort to turn the learning process into something fun-filled and extremely interesting. Through each lesson, we also learn little bits of the culture and lifestyle in Korea. To add, interesting bite-sized facts about Korea’s history and its current affairs are taught during lessons too. And at the end of the day, I believe that all these little bits of interesting facts can be stringed together to make anyone’s next trip to Korea a more fulfilling one — because we know so much more than an ordinary tourist would. ” I started off learning Korean on my own accord through online websites and phone applications. However, I wanted a more consistent and structured learning environment, which led me to join ONLYOU last August. Since then, my command of the language has improved exponentially under 영 선생님 (Teacher Young).
Small class sizes and interactive lesson materials make for an amazing learning environment. Classes incorporate everything from text to videos and audio, with speaking being an integral part of the whole learning experience! Korean culture and entertainment (dramas and kpop) are used to help us better synthesize what we learn with our interests. 🙂 Special days on the Korean calendar are celebrated at ONLYOU, such as Pepero Day and Christmas, with cute events planned during class. ^^

As the teachers are native speakers, you’ll find yourself immersed in Korean culture and discover many interesting things about it – like why do K-drama characters say a particular phrase so often 😄
The learning doesn’t stop after you step out of the classroom because there’s mobile learning too. The school provides online learning materials, which makes it really easy to learn on the go. You can really tell that they are committed to making learning seamless, convenient and fun.
