Genesis Childcare 1989 (Tampines) has been a prominent leader in early childhood care and education for the young since 1989. With over 30 years of experience, the pre-school arm of Genesis Group has grown from its very first centre to having three centres located in Tampines. Our infant care centre, preschool and childcare centre has grown into one of Singapore’s most respected and adored early childhood organisations over the years.
Our History
Genesis Childcare 1989 (Tampines) was founded three decades ago, with the mission to foster a close partnership with the parents to provide a meaningful learning experience for the children. Genesis began with the intention to help each child become a lifelong learner with good dispositions towards learning.
Our core values focus on the children's needs and their interests. We are passionate and committed to what we do.
To date, we have nurtured and educated more than 3459 children in our Tampines childcare and over hundreds of students in our infant care Tampines.

Our Meals
Studies have shown that dietary habits of a child are shaped at a young age. Since the
pre-schoolers spend most of their time in the preschool, what we serve them would play a vital role in helping them cultivate healthy eating habits.
Genesis Childcare 1989 (Tampines) believe in providing balanced and nutritious meals for the children and educate them to eat right.
When planning our menu, we refer to the guidelines established by the Health Promotion Board.
We ensure our meals incorporate food from the four main food groups - brown rice and wholemeal bread, meat and others, fruits & vegetables. This will help the children receive the essential nutrients that are necessary for their growing needs.

Our Curriculum
To ensure the children are well developed holistically, with a positive mindset and good moral values, Genesis Childcare 1989 (Tampines) developed a curriculum that provides a bilingual learning experience. We help the children developed the necessary skills and knowledge needed to help them successfully transit to Primary school with ease.
Currently, we are using a Thematic Learning Approach for our English and Chinese curriculum. Activities and lessons will be centered around the theme. The children will be able to explore, learn and investigate ideas, they will also go for field trips to further extend and reinforce the knowledge and concepts acquired in class.
Our Chinese curriculum is supported by the well-acclaimed 孔子学院华文教学 (Kong Zi Xue Yuan Chinese Teaching Program) This program comes with a full set of big books, lesson plans and teaching materials. These facilitate the teachers to deliver a fun and effective learning experience which will help the children master the Chinese language.
For Phonics, we are using the Letterland Program to help the children read, write and spell. Through the Letterland stories, the teacher will explain the letter shapes and sounds which promotes children to progress quickly to word building, reading and writing.
Math and Science concepts are introduced naturally through hands-on activities and play. Activities sheets are designed to help the children practise the skills learned.
We also conduct Music and Movement, Arts, Outdoor Play and cookery lessons where children will be exposed to different forms of learning.

In Genesis Childcare 1989 (Tampines), we believe the environment is the children’s third teacher hence it should meet the learning and development needs of our little learners.
We design our learning environment where children will build upon their prior knowledge and extend their learning as they interact with it.
Books are accessible to all children to help them broaden their horizons through the literacy materials that we offer to them.
Our learning environment stimulates their senses and encourages them to explore, discover and be creative. Safety and hygiene are our top priorities, therefore, we clean and disinfect our learning space regularly.
By providing a conducive learning environment for the children, we hope to better support their curiosity and experience the wonder of learning.
