For the past 15 years, we have been dedicated to offering top-notch education to junior college (JC) students. Our approach to teaching is rooted in a pedagogically sound curriculum, which we have combined with cutting-edge technology and innovative teaching methodologies. Our classes are taught by very experienced tutors and a significant number of our students have gained admission to top universities both locally and internationally, including NUS, NTU, SMU, as well as Ivy League schools like Stanford, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale. Additionally, our alumni have also gone on to attend prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and the London School of Economics.

We understand the challenges faced by JC students

Learners’ Lodge x Kai has been providing academic support to students for over 15 years. During this time, we have noticed some common issues among the students who seek our help. These issues have given us insight into the challenges that students face in their academic pursuits and by addressing these issues, we have helped many students achieve their full potential.

Strong in concept, weak in application

Many students have difficulties applying concepts in real-world scenarios. To tackle this, we have developed a comprehensive skills program that emphasises the integration of concepts with practical skills such as critical thinking, interdisciplinary application, and out-of-the-box problem solving. This approach helps students perform better in exams, better prepares them for university and the workforce, and instils in them valuable life skills that will benefit them long after they leave the academic setting.

Transitioning from Sec to JC

Many students, particularly those from ‘O’ Levels, struggle with the shift from a passive to a self-directed learning approach in Junior College. To ease this transition, Learners’ Lodge x Kai specialises in preparing students for success in A-levels. Our Bridging and Head Start Programmes provide support and guidance to help students adjust to the more demanding JC academic environment and build the skills needed for academic success.

Pace in school

The compressed school schedule, with too little time given to cover the entire curriculum, leads to a packed syllabus and a time crunch for schools. At Learners’ Lodge x Kai, lessons are taught slightly behind schedule to allow students to clarify misunderstandings and improve their understanding and exam performance. This approach helps students keep pace with the school curriculum and succeed despite the time crunch.

Inefficient materials

The school materials for students vary from JC to JC, but what has been observed is that the notes from school are often not efficient for learning. They can be too dense or not focused, making it difficult for students to understand the material. At Learners’ Lodge x Kai, this challenge has been addressed with the development of a unique set of notes. These notes serve as a revision tool, providing thorough explanations of concepts and ideas, and are complemented by concise summaries for easier organisation and exam preparation. This approach helps students improve their ability to learn and succeed.

Balancing academics and social life can be a challenge for JC students. The need to attend multiple tuition centres for different subjects can add to the burden. Terms of Service

Eligibility

Our Programme is open to any students who are currently enrolled in a Junior College (JC) program.

Registration

Students must register for the our Programme through our online platform or by contacting our administration office. Registration may require providing personal information such as name, contact details, and educational background.

Conduct

Students are expected to adhere to the rules and regulations of the tuition center. Disruptive behavior or misconduct may result in termination of participation and exclusion from future offerings.

Free Trial

The free trial class is subject to availability and may be limited to a certain number of participants. Enrollment will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Consent

By participating in our programme, students consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. However, personal information will not be shared with third parties without consent.

Disclaimer

Participation in our programme is at the student's own risk. The tuition center shall not be liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the class.

Termination

The tuition center reserves the right to terminate or modify the terms of our Programme at any time without prior notice.
