The Mind Behind Student Success
In 2015, Clarence Tan graduated from the University of Western Australia. Holding a degree in Communications, he started to contribute to a variety of publications on education and lifestyle. At the same time, he knew he always had this passion for teaching and helping young learners to improve their language skills. For nearly a decade, he has been teaching in multiple local and international institutions. That enabled him to gain his wealth of experience and knowledge.
Over the years, more and more parents grew to know about Clarence's classes. His eloquent teaching style and familiarity with the Singapore education system had been translating to solid improvements in students' exam results. His number of students grew and accommodating everyone soon became a challenge. Clarence dreamed of a joyful educational space where students were able to learn and grow at the same time. Hence, he founded The Learning Board tuition centre and started building his team of tutors. Clarence remains the centre's Principle Tutor until today.
Clarence sees the shortcomings of the way English as well as other subjects is taught in schools, so he creates a lively class atmosphere where students are able to actively discuss and exchange ideas. His ability to relate to students makes knowledge transferring and memory retention sensationally effective. He meticulously recruits and transfers the skills to his team of teachers.
