Toa Payoh Methodist Preschool is conveniently situated in the heart of Toa Payoh town, next to the Toa Payoh MRT station and bus interchange. Established since 1971, we are located inside the spacious premises of Toa Payoh Methodist Church. The pockets of gardens within the church premises are aesthetic and well-maintained, providing wonderful opportunities for children to explore and learn about nature while taking walks in them. Our classrooms are cosy and well-equipped with age-appropriate play and learning resources to engage children in hands-on activities that support our play-and-inquiry based curriculum approach. Our guided projects are enjoyed by the children and these add to their holistic learning and development.

We offer 7am-7pm Childcare programmes with a holistic STEM-based and tech-enabled curriculum that nurtures every child to be a person of Good Character, who is an Explorer, an Innovator and an Entrepreneur.

MS VANESSA GOEFFREY

Hi! I am Vanessa. With great joy and a deep sense of responsibility, I introduce myself as the Principal of Toa Payoh Methodist Preschool. Having served as Vice Principal, I am honoured to continue our shared mission of nurturing every child to become a person of good character, an Explorer, an Innovator and an Entrepreneur.

At Toa Payoh Methodist Preschool, we are guided by our vision to be a preschool of excellence where every child learns joyfully and confidently, developing godly character to become contributing and responsible citizens. Our mission is to provide holistic, quality preschool education anchored in Christian values within a nurturing environment, enabling every child to maximise their potential.

Love, Respect, Courage, Thankfulness and a Passion for Learning are the core values at the heart of everything we do. They guide our daily interactions and fuel our unwavering commitment to the growth and development of every child.

Our curriculum is designed to ignite curiosity and foster creativity. Through our Applied Learning Programmes, such as LEGO Build the Change and Designation, we encourage children to explore, innovate, and think critically. Our signature Space Buds Programme introduces children to the wonders of space, sparking a lifelong interest in science and discovery. Through the Methodist Music Odyssey Programme, our children not only discover the joy of music but also learn to connect with God in meaningful and heartfelt ways.

I am excited to work alongside our dedicated educators and supportive families to continue cultivating a nurturing environment where every child can grow and flourish.

All our children enjoy learning journeys as they are interesting, fun and always engaging. They allow our children to acquire knowledge through different learning experiences, including hands-on activities, experiments, art experiences, construction activities and neighbourhood/outdoor walks.

• The teachers at TPMP are really caring. I sent my younger child to the centre first, and subsequently transferred my elder child to TPMP because of the great teachers. I know they are in good hands and feel assured when I send them to school everyday. Mrs Raj, the principal is superb! The school is well-organised under her leadership. She really thinks for the children and makes extra effort to adjust the snacks and meals menu to become healthier. She is very responsible and voluntarily approaches me to let me know more about how my kids are doing in school. The vice principal, Ms Vanessa is also very responsible, open and approachable! She has a structured and effective approach to teach the children on the right behaviours. The admin staff Ms Jocelyn is also nice and I can see even my shy little kid is very comfortable with her. All the teachers for both my kids are wonderful! They care for their health, emotions and feelings. The teachers are really patient with the kids and parents. They make extra efforts to help with special needs too. They put a lot of efforts to make the teaching fun and meaningful. Both my kids have good bonding with their teachers shortly after they joined. I can easily communicate my concerns with the teachers and find solutions together. They also go outdoor whenever they can, not only for playing but also for lessons and learning.

* Toa Payoh Methodist Preschool is an excellent school which suits my son’s needs perfectly. The teachers are kind and friendly. Children are looked after well and communication with parents is great as well. My son settled in quickly after joining the school and started enjoying school almost immediately!

Rohan wouldn’t be Rohan if it wasn’t for all the dedicated teachers at TPMP. We will forever be grateful to all of them for bringing out the best in him and bringing back his smile - he had gone through a lot in his previous school and joining TPMP was a turning point for the best!
