Sarah and Joanne are great trainers and I enjoyed learning their style of floral arrangement! Love the conversations in classes and the insights into the floral business too. The course has helped me to explore options that is beneficial to my business.

The teaching materials and methods were helpful, with opportunities to try out different floral arrangements. It was a joy stepping into the classroom scented with fresh flowers and lovely colours over the four days!

My experience with Flowers by Terra started when I attended the 4-day WSQ professional floral design course. Materials are good and Trainers Sarah and Joanne are professional, fun and willing to share all Floristry knowledge. Subsequently, I attended Mother’s Day and Christmas workshops with my kids. We all had great fun with Sarah! Highly recommended for all amateur or experienced flowers lovers!
I recently attended a four-day floral design course taught by Sarah and Joanne, and it was both enjoyable and insightful. We learned various skills to create floral designs and contacts for sourcing flowers. Sarah focused more on the artistic and conceptual side, giving us creative freedom while offering advice when necessary to improve our bouquets. Joanne, on the other hand, was stronger and clearer in her explanations, which was very helpful for beginners. They made a great team, and now I’m always itching to practice spiral techniques!
Love the variety of flowers provided in classes. Sarah and Joanna are patient in guiding us on the different techniques in floral arrangement and applications. Have a better understanding in the floristry industry.

Took a 4-day WSQ level 3 professional florist course and learnt about florist business strategies, the basic techniques like conditioning of flowers, choosing the right flowers, vase arrangement, spiral technique, bouquet wrapping, wiring for boutonniere. Sarah and Joanna were both very patient and nice when teaching us! Learnt a lot from them and I enjoyed the course. Highly recommend to anyone who likes flowers and wanted to know more about being a florist!
Both WSQ & Fundamentals courses were well run. Variety of flowers were provided for participants to create beautiful arrangements. Enjoyable hands-on sessions learning about flowers guided by lovely Sarah & her wonderful team!
Reviewing 2 days Fundamental Floral workshop.Pros: - unlimited preserved flowers provided for preserved flowers domeCons: - flowers provided for table arrangement was not fresh (as seen in photos)- limited resources for floral bouquet (ie. only one full-time trainer assigned to group of 10 >> students feeling lost during this floral bouquet section)- limited flowers provided for arrangements, seems very budgeted considering that each student paid $400 for the workshop

I have recently completed a WSQ professional floral design course at Flowers by Terra. Being a newbie and totally clueless about floral design, I must say this course provided me with such an insight into the world of floristry. The class was conducted by very passionate trainer Sarah (the owner) and Joanne who were not only super knowledgeable but also generous to share the skills and knowledge for beginners. Sarah is especially inspirational in sharing her wealth of experience and business journey.The class content was well planned out, there are basic theory and practical sessions for learners and there was no dull moment at all. The learners get to bring back their creation at the end of each day after a fulfilling day at class.I would strongly recommend anyone that is keen to peep into the world of floral design to sign up with FBT, whether it is for business or hobbyist, there are a lot of takeaways after each session.
I really enjoyed myself during the 3.5 days course held by both Sarah and Joanne. The course was engaging and I learnt so much more about the floristry industry as well as techniques that I find very useful. Also, we got to bring home so many beautiful flowers that we worked on everyday! Both Sarah and Joanne were very patient and encouraging, making the entire course such an enjoyable one for all of us. It was such a therapatic and fun-filled 2 days’ course for flower lovers like me. Highly recommended for those who would like to know more about the floristry business, tips on flower (fresh or preserved) maintenance and to have the chance of making your own floral arrangement. I made a bouquet just in time for Mother’s Day and my mum was delighted! Thanks to Sarah and Joanne for the providing such an interesting learning workshop. Very Passionate Trainers - I chanced upon Flowers by Terra's website sometime in March and without second thoughts enrolled into the WSQ Professional Floral Design Course over two full weekends in April (09.45am to 5.45pm except the fourth day which ends at 2.45pm) as I really wanted to do something fun. Closer to the date of commencement, I started questioning myself, what have I got myself into? Burning my two precious weekends (Sat and Sun) and be stuck in a studio.My worries were totally unfounded; the moment I walked into the studio, I could immediately feel a sense of happiness. Yes, the flowers immediately lifted my spirit and within the next 10 minutes into the course, Joanne, co-trainer, got my fellow participants and I really excited when we realised that we will be doing up a huge bouquet on the day itself. We were intrigued with Joanne's lesson delivery; she speaks really well with excellent intonation, diction, and voice projection. Most importantly, the content were highly valuable.We had so much fun when doing up the bouquet and laughing at each other's clumsiness (ultimately, most of us do not have prior experience). Joanne and her assistants, Crystals and Hanis were really helpful going around and constantly guiding us.And yes, the weekend passes really fast and we were thankful that we picked up some valuable skills and tips. And I was looking forward to the following week where we will be meeting the beautiful founder and lead trainer, Sarah Ching.Sarah comes across as really warm and she has the ability to make people feel really comfortable. She is highly knowledgeable and willingly to share her wealth of experiences and tips to participants who wish to start their business in the floristry industry. She's a great storyteller and we were simply mesmerised by her personality.The course has a very good balance of theories and practical. In terms of hands-on, we were taught how to wrap a bouquet, bridal bouquet, boutonniere and table arrangement.In summary, it was a really wonderful course and we are very blessed with very passionate trainers. In fact, both Joanne and Sarah didn't have their lunch break as both of them had to edit our flower arrangements. It was a one-on-one feedback which is highly personalised and we truly appreciate their dedication. Kudos to Flowers by Terra. Cheers.

As a beginner in floristry, I have learn a lot from Sarah, Joanne and Crystal.Sarah (owner) and Joanne alternate teaching between theory, techniques, trends, and business.I'm thinking on launching a business related to floristry and they are really sincere and generous when you ask questions about their business history and experience.During the course, you practice with really fresh flowers (still have half of my arrangement after 10 days, thanks to the the quality and proper care, you learn from the course).I highly recommend this class ! Participated in the 4 days WSQ Professional Floral Design course late last year. Sarah (lead trainer) was kind, astute and patient in her teachings, and ever so optimistic. She readily shares her knowledge of her experience as a florist & a business owner. Time given to work on our floral designs were sufficient, and not too rushed. Wide varieties of flowers were available too, so we could try out many different variations of design. It was a pleasure to be able to participate in the course!

Throughout the course, she was very patient and her explanations were very clear. Her passion shows through the way she teaches and when she does her floral arrangements.I like how she really ensured that we learnt and mastered the right technique (e.g. spiral method). Totally agree it is important to get the basics right! :)Last but not least, thankful for the tips and advices she so openly shared during the course! Absolutely love the well thought out program which had a good balance of theory, hands on floristry techniques & creation of floral arrangements and even role play to achieve the desired learning outcomes. The floral studio is an inviting place to unleash one’s floral creativity while flowers and materials used are of premium quality. Sarah is most generous in sharing of her vast expertise and experiences. She is warm, candid and patient in teaching and answering questions, making the course a fun and engaging one. I attended the 3-day Florist Career Commercial Course a month ago. As a beginner in floristry, I have gained more than I imagined. Sarah teaches well with clarity and she makes the lesson contents memorable. She shares her knowledge and experiences with sincerity. I must say I am now more confident in handling flowers and creating flower arrangements as a hobby, using the techniques that I have learnt.
I spent the past three days at Sarah’s career course and it was truly amazing! Firstly, Flowers by Terra is located in such an accessible location.Throughout these three days, I have learned so much from Sarah. You can really feel her generosity in not just the amount of premium flowers she ordered for us, but also the in-depth knowledge sharing. Apart from floral techniques, she shared the business aspect of being a florist. This was so refreshing for me as I really gained insights into the types of business a florist could specialise in.
