Welcome to Humanities Explorer
The Humanities Explorer team is dedicated to promoting humanities subjects such as history, social studies and literature among secondary school students.
Humanities Subjects
Humanities Explorer specialises in nurturing student to achieve academic excellence in N and O level Social Studies and Elective History and beyond.
Social Studies (SS) is a compulsory N and O level subject. The focus of SS is to develop critical thinking skills by exposing students to various local and global sources (cartoons, pictures, text, graphs etc). Students are exptected to read widely especially Singapore current affairs to excel in Social Studies.
O-Level Elective History is taken as an elective and combined with O-Level Social Studies to make a full subject. To excel, students are expected to read textbook/notes, understand assessment requirements, be familiar with different types of Source-Based Questions and acquire adequate historical contents to construct valid explanations of given factors.

I joined Humanities Explorer only months before my o level examinations but even with limited time left, my teacher was still able to help me alot. He helped by reviewing the papers i did in the past and explained to me in detail how i could do better. He also answered every question i had which helped calrify all my doubts. My teacher was kind and patient and without his help, i dont think i would have improved from f9 in mid year exams to b3 in o levels.
