At CalibreMath, we maximise your child’s learning process through a 2-way discussion. The teacher and students work together to derive the solution. Teachers act as facilitators to guide them to zoom in on key phrases and trigger them to identify the strategies learnt to solve the questions. We do not encourage passive learning, which is the reason why we have this policy of active listening with no copying. We believe that when students are focus on listening, understanding will be able to take place. To ensure that our students have fully understood the concepts, the teachers may request them to solve it independently after the in-depth discussion."

I joined CalibreMath towards the end of 2016, in November when I was in Secondary 1. I had a lot of fun in CalibreMath and it was a great learning experience.
The teachers were very patient and understanding. There were different names for different methods and there were sufficient questions with varied levels of difficulty in each worksheet for me to practice, thus making it easier for me to remember the methods. Because of that, I started taking an interest in Math as I could see improvements in myself. I improved from C to A from primary school to secondary school.
With the weekly practices that I have at CalibreMath, I need not worry for my Math quizzes and major examinations. It also gave me more time to spend on other subjects.

I was a student in CalibreMath since Primary School. I joined the tuition initially in 2003 and continued the tuition until Secondary 4.
The methods taught in the tuition were very simple to comprehend and efficient during exams. Teacher Charles broke down tough math questions into simpler parts and taught the steps to solve the problem strategically. The learning environment was conducive as he was always open to any questions from the students.
Teacher Charles also helped me with Math problems outside of the tuition classes through WhatsApp, which helped me to clarify doubts on my school’s Math problems too. This enabled learning to continue on top of the weekly tuition classes and helped me to improve on the specific topics that I am weak at. The lessons broadened my understanding of Elementary Math and also helped me to be ahead of my classmates in school. The skills taught were also easy to apply during exams.
With the help of CalibreMath, I was able to improve my E math grade from E8 to B4 in 2020 O’ Levels. This would not have been possible without the continuous guidance and support rendered by Teacher Charles.

Before joining Janelle’s class, Jeremy did not have a positive learning attitude and was reluctant to put in effort in his school work.

Josh has failed his Math in his Mid and Final Exams in Primary 5. Out of desperation, I’ve decided to change his then Math Tutor to Janelle who has since tutored him at the end of Pri 5 to current.
I’ve seen Josh tremendously improvement in his Math after engaging Janelle; he failed in Pri 5 but just a month’s time he passed with a grade “B” in his Pri 6’s CA1.

How are the Math classes taught?
At CalibreMath, we believe in the policy of 100% active listening and that when students are focused on their learning, it will, in turn, convert to a higher level understanding of the concept taught. That’s why we aim to maximise your child’s learning process through a two-way discussion.
Rather than providing the solutions, our Math teachers will serve as facilitators, guiding your child to explore, investigate, and derive the solutions independently. They will also teach them to focus on key phrases and identify the associated strategies to solve the questions presented in their Math exams.
Does CalibreMath offer in-person or online classes?
We offer both! At CalibreMath, we recognise that every child is unique. As such, we respect their individual learning needs and aim to provide a conducive environment for each student to learn and grow. That’s why we offer physical, online, and even hybrid lessons to give our students the flexibility of choosing a schedule that fits their needs best.
