What does iMatter Learning Centre do?
We have run a Cosy Tuition Centre in Yishun Junction 9 Mall since 2018
Being small, we only take in a small pool of students. That means we value each individual student and give better attention to each one. You will find that all our tutors remember their students by name.
We provide tuition and enrichment programmes mainly to students staying or studying in the Yishun neighbourhood though we welcome all students from elsewhere.
Our Founder
With over 10 years of educational experience as a Senior Lecturer in Singapore Polytechnic, Mr Kwok (aka Mr Chen) founded iMatter in the belief that with the right tutor to guide a student, the student can keep up with his school work, do better in his assessment and enjoy his learning journey.
Being the Principal Tutor, he personally mentors his students in the subjects of Science (Primary & Secondary), Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
He believes in adopting the right fundamentals in teaching and learning which include:
- Small class size (no more than 6*) in a relaxed atmosphere
- Professional and dedicated tutors who are patient & passionate, showing genuine concern for the student
- Interaction and discussion between tutor & students and among students
- Explanation and examples should complement worksheets which should not be the primary mode of “teaching”
- Each lesson should have a variety of activities to sustain the student’s interest
