[28/01/2025] - Chinese New Year Celebrations
Our chinese new year celebration was a meaningful and enriching experience for the children! They had a fantastic time creating traditional crafts such as firecrackers, cherry blossom trees, and festive pattern cut-outs. Through these activities, they also learned about the significance of receiving angbaos and the importance of new year greetings to express well wishes to parents and adults. A special highlight of the celebration was a lively lion dance performance by our chinese teachers, which delighted the children. They even had the opportunity to experience what it’s like to perform a lion dance themselves! Additionally, everyone came together for a mass dance session, joyfully singing "gong xi gong xi" and other festive songs.

[10/06/2024] Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the fifth day of the fifth lunar month of the year. It is said that the Dragon Boat Festival is to commemorate the patriotic poet, Qu Yuan.
The children watched an informative story telling session to understand why we celebrate this special day.
Did you know? : Eggs are a symbol of good luck for the Chinese? At noon time on this day when yang energy peaks, standing an egg upright can bring good luck for the year ahead.
After experimenting with balancing the eggs, the children did an egg bumping game contest as a way to ward off the evil. The children also created their own zong zi (rice dumpling) art.
