Before Joining Dr Akhila I was struggling in chemistry and lacked understanding of the different concepts and links between them. I joined her in the start of J2 and her lessons were so engaging and enriching. She taught the various concepts and links and drilled questions until everything was familiar to me. Her book helped me in answering tactics and her lessons got me through H2 chemistry. Her dedication to her students is something i’ll always look up to. I joined her with a S and improved to an A at A levels under her guidance. I owe my chemistry results entirely to her and would recommend this tuition for everyone that’s taking H2 chemistry in JC!

I joined Mr Tan's physics lesson in Sec 4 after my Mid year exams. I was struggling and had no graps of the subject. I was merely memorising and regurgitating to get the bare minimum of Cs and Ds. Immediately after joining I started getting a good grasp of the subject. The lessons taught me the core of each chapter and how to apply to real world. The constant drilling of highly likely questions made exams much easier as all the questions were familiar. I continued in Mr Tan's physics lesson all the way from Sec4 to JC2 and I mastered calculation and explanation questions ending up with an A at A levels.

Before I joined, I was consistently scoring E grades in my A-level exams and felt completely stuck. The lessons were incredibly engaging and helped me break down difficult topics into manageable parts. The clear explanations and structured approach allowed me to understand the material much better. I joined chemistry tuition at the start of J1, as I initially found the subject overwhelming. My struggles were reflected in my grades—I scored a C on my first exam and a D on my second. However, Akhila Ma’am constantly encouraged me to do my best and ensured that I understood the concepts thoroughly. She fostered a safe and supportive learning environment, always urging students to ask questions. When I finally took her up on that offer, I saw a visible improvement in my grades. My scores quickly jumped from a D to an A, and she continued to support me in maintaining my performance. She tirelessly answered my many questions and structured her lessons in a way that helped me retain information for longer periods. Dr Akhila was an amazing chemistry tutor. I struggled with chemistry before joining Dr Akhila as I could not grasp the concepts fully and was not sure how to study for the subject. During lessons, she went through every concept patiently and provided a lot of practice to ensure we understood what was happening during the lesson. When we needed extra help with the materials, she was always ready to hold extra sessions to clarify doubts and go through certain concepts again. She also organised a lot of extra lessons before exams to provide a refresher of past topics and to make sure we were confident to tackle our exams. Dr Akhila is always ready to help, she answered all my questions I asked through WhatsApp even a few hours before my A Level papers. Dr Akhila always encouraged me to try my best, even when I felt like giving up or when chemistry felt difficult. I fully owe my A in Chemistry to Dr Akhila. She is one of the most dedicated teachers I've met!

when i first joined ms akhila's chemistry class, i was still struggling with many concepts and lacked good answering techniques. however, her well-planned practices and great teaching helped me vastly improve in 6 months! she goes out of her way to ensure that students have a good understanding of the subject with timely progress checks. i highly recommend her for anyone struggling with h2 chemistry!

I joined H2 Chemistry tuition taught by Dr Akhila after I failed my mid year exams in J1. I found all the concepts challenging and intimidating before I joined. Since the latter topics (organic chem etc) require a strong grasp of the former topics (atomic structure, chem bonding etc), and I was weak in the former topics, I felt lost and didn't know how to improve. After I joined the tuition, Dr Akhila helped me realise all the gaps and misconceptions in my understanding of the topics. Her notes go in depth about each and every concept in the syllabus. They also contain information beyond the syllabus which are crucial to understanding the concepts taught in school, that are often not found in school notes. There are many practice questions included in her notes, which help you ensure that you've got the concepts right. Dr Akhila's lessons are rigorous. She asks questions during her lessons and keeps every single student engaged. She makes sure that everyone is on the same page. If she finds that you're lagging behind, she puts in the work and conducts extra lessons just to make sure that you're on par with the rest of the group. Her kind demeanor helped me feel comfortable with asking her as many questions as I needed to clear my doubts, during lessons and over text. She regularly conducts timed trials to make sure that we can also practise time management, along with mastery of concepts. She goes through all the commonly tested questions for each chapter again and again, such that it becomes muscle memory. With her guidance, I went from U in J1 mid years to B in J1 promos, and scored B for my A Levels. Forever grateful for Dr Akhila!

Mr Tan's physics lessons at Candela helped me improve massively for H2 Physics. Before joining, I was struggling to understand many foundational topics of the subject. Worse still, I had many running misconceptions which made exams particularly challenging. Mr Tan's lessons are both engaging and intellectually enriching. He is a very experienced teacher with a lot of teaching materials and a distinctive approach to both teaching the subject and correcting misunderstandings. Through Mr Tan's help in class and out of class, with notes, summaries, practice papers and collated questions, I managed to improve up to an A. Thank you Mr Tan!
