EtonHouse Mountbatten 223 is one of our award-winning Singapore Pre-Schools* for children from Pre-Nursery to Kindergarten 2 (18 months to 6 years old). Our 20,000-square feet campus is richly-resourced with innovative facilities to lay a strong foundation for children to go on to excel in both local and international schools.

We believe the school’s environment is the “third teacher”. Our facilities such as an indoor playground with a dedicated learning centre, outdoor gardens, and specialist studios create boundless opportunities for acquiring both breadth and depth of skills.

Successful Integrated Inquiry Curriculum

We use inquiry as the premise for learning. Educators carefully observe their students and collaborate with each child to tailor learning experiences that support his or her ideas and theories. It’s an engaging and rewarding way to learn — children acquire numeracy and literacy skills quickly and get used to steering their own learning.

Strong Language Programmes

Our classrooms are a beautiful mix of Singaporean and expat families. We celebrate this diversity through our integrated bilingual programme in Mandarin and English, with additional options of Japanese, Hindi, Tamil, and Malay. Whether the intention is to spark an interest in your child’s mother tongue or to acquire a new language entirely, our programmes are anchored in cultural immersion so children gain a deep love for the language.

Diverse Specialist Programmes

We support the holistic development of our students. Here, children engage in a diverse range of learning experiences such as gardening, abacus and dance. We also offer after-school clubs where children can make new friends and learn new skills.

Passionate And Highly Qualified Educators

The only school in Singapore that works directly with the Reggio Children International Network, its educators receive high-quality professional learning on the Reggio Emilia approach. As one of the few education groups in Singapore with a dedicated research and training arm, we also have a dedicated research and training arm that allows our educators to receive ongoing professional development throughout the year and access the resources to continuously improve their curriculum.

Awards

EtonHouse Mountbatten 223 has received multiple national awards for its outstanding standards of practice. For example, in 2015, the school was accorded the ECDA Early Childhood Innovation Award (Distinction). In 2011, Senior Principal Ms. Josephyne Ho received the MCYS Outstanding Early Childhood Leader Award, Singapore’s highest award in the child-care sector. The school was also awarded the Overall Champion and other awards in 2022, 2023 and 2024 in the National Robotics Competition, organised by Science Centre Singapore.

Powerful Pathway to Primary, Secondary and High School

For families who would like to continue to enjoy EtonHouse’s holistic approach to education after Pre-School, we have three Primary Schools across the island, including EtonHouse Orchard which is located in the heart of the city and offers up to High School level as well.

*EtonHouse Singapore Pre-Schools offer childcare services from 7am to 7pm, and follow the academic calendar of January to December. Singaporeans are eligible for government (ECDA) subsidies.

Our kids would come home with stories about researching berries, creating clay projects, conducting light experiments, dabbling in Chinese calligraphy and baking healthy oatmeal banana cookies (which Ian still asks to make at home)! We like that there are a multitude of opportunities for the children to think independently and engage in new experiences. Apart from the periodic excursions, there are talks conducted by parents in their respective fields, show and tell sessions, performances and all the small but important things that the respective teachers do on their own initiative to teach the kids values like responsibility, love and respect. Aiden has made such immense improvements in the past year. He loves reading, he knows how to solve Math story sums, he loves singing Chinese songs, he loves Japanese origami. More importantly, he retains his curiosity and he enjoys learning. We are not worried at all about Primary 1. This is a stark contrast to the boy who, in early 2017, was struggling to write the letter Y and was labelled as a “slow learner”. Read more here
