Founded by Bosendorfer Artist, author, and educator Josephine Koh, JKPA specializes in quality piano lessons and music theory classes in Bukit Timah, Singapore. With nearly three decades of experience, Josephine Koh is known for her expertise in preparing advanced students for ABRSM piano exams, piano diplomas, performances, college entries and competitions.
Josephine is the Artistic Director of Joyeux Music International, with music qualifications in piano and orchestral conducting from London, Europe and Russia. She has published Practice in Music Theory series and ABRSM alternative examination pieces used internationally. Her teaching approach combines technical precision with artistic sensitivity, fostering well-rounded musicianship in every student.
Piano students at JKPA regularly achieve Distinctions in ABRSM and Trinity exams, and many have gone on to complete Diploma Piano qualifications including ARSM, ATCL, DipABRSM, LRSM, LTCL, FTCL and FRSM. Theory diplomas include AMusTCL and LMusTCL.
JKPA is more than a music school—it's a community for passionate learners, guided by one of Singapore’s most experienced and inspiring piano teachers.

MAY: Success stories of students. Another Distinction at LTCL
JUNE: Josephine Koh conducted lectures for teachers in CHINA - Shanghai and Beijing
JULY - AUGUST: Students took part in various piano competitions. Claire Liang won GOLD in the Junior category of the Raffles Music Festival. Xavier Sheng achieved the highest score in the Youth category of the Kayserburg Competition and was selected to represent Singapore in the Grand Finals in China. Brendon Lee qualified as one of the 6 finalists.
AUGUST: National Day Celebration @ Binjai Park. Our students performed at the Street Bazzaar for Minister Sim Ann.
SEPTEMBER: Students took part in the Joyeux Music International Competition and performed in the Gala Winners' Concert.
OCTOBER: Mirelle Quah won the 1st prize in the Kayserburg Piano Competition Grade 8 category. Many graded level students continue to achieve distinctions in the ABRSM exams.
NOVEMBER: Students once again prepare for their year end diploma exams. Dr Krystian Tkaczewski came by to conduct masterclasses.
DECEMBER: The CHRISTMAS PARTY CONCERT gathered jolly musicians, as families together to share and enjoy the occasion.
