The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore, an autonomous institute within NTU, is the national teacher education institute and an integral part of the nation’s education system. Charting New Horizons: Beyond 75 Years of Innovation in Teacher Education conveys a sense of exploration, innovation, and forward momentum. It emphasises setting a new course and reaching for new opportunities, which could resonate well with themes of growth grounded in values, diversity, and lifelong learning.

To celebrate NIE75, we will be showcasing its rich history of innovation in teacher education and research, connecting the past, present, and future.

The year-long celebration will engage stakeholders — staff, students, alumni, faculty, industry partners — through storytelling, interactive experiences, and thought leadership that focuses on the NIE’s contributions to education and its role in shaping the future.
