Pillars Of Care
W ellness Care
(Both Mental and Physical)
Kampung Senang was founded with a holsitic wellness vision for all.
The founders were on a mission to create learning spaces to care for those in need through holistic therapies and being in tune with nature.
Alternative, gentle therapies and nutritional education for cancer patients was the first step in our wellness work at the time of our founding in 1999. Now, the therapies include an array of diagnostics and treatments that bring about the mind, body, spirit alignment necessary for personal transformation.
Student Care
Children are the seeds of tomorrow,
and the way we nurture them, especially in their early years, significantly influences their values, habits and future well-being.
This pivotal period shapes their trajectory towards health and the compassionate roles they play in the world and for Mother Earth.
In 2001, Kampung Senang established the Whole Child Nurture Centre (WCNC) as well as Student Care services to assist cancer patients in caring for their children and instilling holistic living habits.
In 2023, WCNC became part of the Tzu Chi Foundation’s Great Love Preschool.
Despite this transition, the Student Care service continues to thrive, maintaining its commitment to intergenerational activities that foster connections with seniors in Kampung Senang’s day activity centre for our seniors.
Community Care
From its inception, Kampung Senang has been dedicated to providing holistic care and support to our seniors through many programs, including the Kampung Senang Day Care for Our Seniors.
Evolving with the changing landscape, this initiative has transformed into a comprehensive Wellness Programme for Seniors, creating a nurturing environment with an open concept, a cozy ambiance, inclusive vegetable gardens, and therapeutic amenities that contribute to the overall well-being of our seniors.
In tandem with this, Kampung Senang extends its community care ethos to address the needs of students. By establishing an after-school care service, our Student Care Centre, we endeavour to create a supportive space where children can flourish.
This commitment to the community's youth involves instilling healthy living habits and values, ensuring that the seeds of today blossom into responsible and caring individuals for tomorrow.
As Kampung Senang Charity and Education Foundation continues to grow, the threads of Community Care remain tightly woven into our fabric, fostering a sense of interconnectedness and empathy that transcend generations and empower the community as a whole.
Eco Care
Mother Nature is our healer and inspiration. We recognise that going to nature for wholesome nutrition, medicinal answers and spiritual alignment is a better path for us human beings. Humans' mistreatment of Mother Nature risks a bleak future for our children.
In response, Kampung Senang emphasises education and actions that support love for and conservation of nature.
For example, our Inclusive Gardens initiative aims at connecting people to the goodness of nature and promoting growing our own edible foods.
