One of the common hacking works for newer HDB flats - kitchen RC wall. The first pic showed the completed hacking works leaving behind the single layer of rebar (sometimes mesh bar). Throwback to one of the speediest reno done by @izzaturrahman’s team - @jmsons_sg back in 2023 at Capitaspring for Matchaya’s franchisee. Recalled that the reno was practically done from bare to fully furnished in 3 weeks. Superb team. F&B is tough and glad to see that the cafe is still surviving well. 👍😃. Rent-free period for most malls is only 1 month. Seems long for reno, but the fact that it’s not easy to get design, SCDF NOA and FSC, renovation, LEW inspections, handover works done in such a short period. Non-load bearing RC Wall at Kitchen for a HDB flat in Fernvale Lane. This is a wall with single layer of rebars with concrete. This type of wall requires PE endorsement/supervision to ensure that the contractor do not over hack the connecting structural portion or beam on top.
