My child attended Mindlab for his revision for IB exams and they did a really good job. At first he was only getting 3 for his mocks in Math HL but when the final results comes out. My son learned and improved so much because, each class, Teacher Jiabin really knew where the problems were, filled the holes in his understanding of some basic concepts, and was able to apply the basics to progressively difficult problems. Since we are overseas, not in Singapore, Mindlab made it easy to send money from abroad and to have class via Internet weekly. I was tutored by Mr David for Chemistry. At first, I had issues understanding Chemistry concepts and could not keep up with classes in school. Great tuition centre. I personally don’t like tuition centers with a bunch of students in one room, it intimidates me. Mindlab has a room for each student which is very comforting.
Teachers talk super fast but are super nice, professional and supportive. Centre has access to most recent past papers and will give you answer booklets if you need them. They are very organized too.
One thing to remember is to book your sessions ASAP. There are a limited number of seats and teachers so as soon as you get that IB/AP schedule, book. Better to make bookings at desk, faster that way.

We returned to Singapore from Manchester and we decided to homeschool my daughter. It is a pain finding tutors who are familiar with IGCSE syllabus in Singapore. We tried Mindlab and my daughter gave me a nod (she has GAD, thus getting a tutor whom she can get along with ease is extremely difficult). The staffs here are very understanding and helpful in assisting me with the time and tutors.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms Naomi and Mr Devin for helping my daughter in preparing her exams in such a short period of time (approximately 6 months to finish Year 10 syllabus). My daughter was all praised of Mr Devin for his tips in answering the Chemistry questions and she came out with full of confidence that she will score an A (she got A*). I am thankful for Ms Naomi’s patience and weekly updates. She hates English to the core and it is her weakest subject, but she passed the exam.

Regular Weekly Tuition

We provide customised classes designed to supplement the student's school program. The classes are paced at a regular weekly frequency to steadily measure improvements in performance throughout the school year.

Intensive Revision Classes

These are short-term classes with a frequency of at least twice a week per subject. These are perfect for students who have a limited period to revise during the holidays or boost their preparation towards their exams.

Holiday Headstart Program

Special rates are offered on school holidays to cater to students who are bridging from one program to another. The headstart program aims to prepare in advance for the following school year. IB and IGCSE headstart programs have a pre-designed content.

Exam Preparation for Private Candidates / Exam Retakers

Students taking exam preparatory courses may have a regular weekly schedule structure. The lessons are a mix of topical revisions and are exam-focused with emphasis on exam-taking techniques.

What advice would you have given to your 16 year old self?

Figure out your "why",

then you can figure out the "how"!

It has been 11 years since you have sought tuition at Mindlab and for sure, a lot of things happened in your life since then. Please share with us any fond memories you have while attending classes at Mindlab.
We worked hard at Mindlab but pretty sure we played even harder..my fondest memories were spending time with my best buds JiaXiang and JiaWei and our teachers - we would go out for ice cream after tuition and once had a BBQ at the rooftop with Matthew and the crew! Good times.
Even in the short period you were with us, has Mindlab impacted you in any way?
Mindlab was paramount in helping me discover the most appropriate method of absorbing and retaining information - which I have been applying to this day. I'm a naturally lazy person - so I had to study smart. Not to mention the amount of fun times we shared with fellow students and teachers as well, which took the edge off exam stress and helped encourage us throughout IB.
For students and/or parents considering to seek academic tuition support, is there any advice you could give them?
Tuition classes usually have significantly lower student to teacher ratios - which allows the tutors to cater to learning needs of their students. Not only does this make it easier for them to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses, but also develop learning plans most suited for the learning styles of each individual. I urge parents and students to not simply aim for higher marks or greater results - but rather, to find a sustainable, efficient way of studying (which takes a period of trial and error). This usually makes the learning process much more enjoyable as well!

Be curious, be patient and willing to learn as without an open learning mindset you will not make the most of the opportunities presented to you. Oh and if you’re offered bubble tea always say yes, as you will regret not having it later!

I actually remember starting my classes with Matthew at his home while the centre was being built and I remember how he would always offer me bubble tea or some sweet that had been prepared by his family. It’s my earliest and one of my favourite memories at Mindlab!
Even in the short period you were with us, has Mindlab impacted you in any way?
It instilled me a strong work ethic and taught me the importance of daily revision and how to study efficiently.
For students and/or parents considering to seek academic tuition support, is there any advice you could give them?
Give it time to see results, it takes a few months for what’s been taught to seep in and habits formed which then lead to faster and more independent learning.
