We believe that every student is unique.
With different song preferences, skill levels, goals, learning speeds, preferred teaching methods and preferences, it is IMPOSSIBLE to maximize every student’s potential if we stick to a single formula or lesson plan.
That is why, every lesson is carefully thought out and tailored for the student or class. Every student is individually assessed on the FREE trial lesson.

Learning stages
Your journey with us covers 3 distinct stages, all with different creative thought processes.
1. Watch and learn
As with most instruments, your guitar journey with us begins with learning different types of guitar techniques and playing songs by reading TABs and 'copying' what the instructor does. Music and guitar theory will be covered here.
2. Play by ear
Many players will feel like they've hit a wall in their journey - being able to play by ear is beneficial to breaking this wall because it enhances a musician's overall musicality and understanding of music. The best part is, you don't need perfect pitch!
3. Song Composition
Composition is optimized when you can comfortably play pieces by memory and possess a deep understanding of the guitar and music theory. But don't be disheartened! We have a surprisingly approachable method to onboard students!

Acoustic Guitar and Ukulele Graded Examinations
Our lessons are not targeted at taking graded examinations, because we believe fingerstyle guitar is too diverse and it is incredibly difficult to define and stick to a structured grading system! (Believe us, we’ve tried!) We go beyond these grades and offer a holistic music education with styles and techniques not found in today’s acoustic guitar grades – we believe we have a better system.
But if you are interested in taking graded examinations, our instructors are certified and well equipped to help you ace them! Here are the institutions covered by us:

To go beyond just strumming on chords that were self taught, teacher Amos is able to teach on fingerstyle playing which encompasses the melody, the bass, the fillers and the percussion. He is patient and accommodating to my needs and prepares me for LCM exam. I Highly recommend it.
